Peptac liquid gives fast and effective relief from the discomfort of acid indigestion and heartburn
The symptoms of heartburn – or acid reflux – are caused by acid escaping from the stomach and irritating the lining of the food pipe the acid causes a burning sensation in the throat or chest
Peptac’s sugar free formulation will suppress the reflux and neutralise stomach acid and so relieve your discomfort
Ingredients:
Sodium alginate Sodium bicarbonate and Calcium carbonte.
How to Use:
- Adults and children over 12 years: Take 10-20ml after meals and at bedtime
- Children 6 to 12 years: Take 5-10ml after meals and at bedtime
- Not recommended for children under 6 years
Warnings:
Peptac Liquid – Antacids reduce the absorption of a number of drugs e.g. some antibiotics. The administration times should be separated by 1 to 2 hours to minimise the effect. Similarly the administration times of an antacid and enteric coated (gastro-resistant) tablets should be separated so that that the pH-sensitive coating is not destroyed in the stomach. This medicine is not to be used for long periods of time as it may cause more adverse effects.
This medicine contains sodium and may not suitable for those individuals on a sodium restricted diet.
