Covawound Foam Silicone Adhesive Border Dressing Lite
An absorbent, atraumatic dressing consisting of a soft silicone adhesive that does not stick to the surface of the wound or cause epidermal stripping or pain upon removal, an absorbent core of polyurethane foam, and a vapour-permeable polyurethane membrane which acts as a barrier to liquid and microorganisms.
Indications for Use
CovaWound Silicone (Lite) dressing is indicated for the management of light to moderately exuding wounds such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, traumatic and surgical wounds, and superficial and partial thickness burns.
Application
– Cleanse the wound in accordance with normal procedures.
– Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.
– Remove the release liner and apply the adherent side to the wound. Do not stretch.
– For best results the CovaWound? Silicone Self-Adherent Soft Silicone Foam Dressing.
– Border wound pad should overlap the wound edges by at least 2 cm.
