Canesten Thrush External Cream
Canesten Thrush External Cream provides effective treatment and soothing relief of the itching caused by thrush. It can also be used to treat the male partner.
Canesten Thrush External Cream should only be used for external thrush and another treatment is required for internal thrush
One 20g tube of Canesten Thrush Cream contains Clotrimazole 400mg (2% w/w).
Suitable for
Adults between 16 – 60 years of age.
Canesten Thrush External Cream is suitable for anyone aged between 16-60 who is suffering from the effects of external thrush. It should not be used if you are allergic to clotrimazole, or any of the other ingredients contained in the cream. If you have an STI or illness, then speak to a doctor before using.
Age Restriction
You must be at least 16 years old to purchase this product.
- Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.
- Wash your hands before and after using the cream.
- The cream should be applied to the affected area around the vagina 2-3 times a day. The cream should be applied thinly and evenly before being rubbed in gently.
- It should not be used for more than 7 days.
- For men, the cream should be applied to the end of the penis 2-3 times a day, for up to two weeks.
- Treatment should be continued for up to one week after treating the internal infection in women and for two weeks in men.
- If symptoms persist consult your doctor.

- Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suffer from allergies.
- Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
