Mepitel Dressings with Safetac technology are the number 1 wound contact layer in the world, used on more than 100 million wounds. They provide a gentle, yet effective wound contact layer, preventing an outer dressing from sticking to the wound thereby minimising trauma and pain.
Mepitel Dressings are designed and clinically proven for a wide range of wounds such as skin tears, skin abrasions, surgical incisions, second degree burns, blistering, lacerations, partial and full thickness grafts, diabetic ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers. They are also clinically proven to heal scalds faster and with less pain and cost compared to silversulfadiazine. Use together with Mesorb or for high exuding wounds with Mextra Superabsorbent, and with Tubifast fixation.
Mepitel Dressings have an open mesh design that enables good transfer of exudate to a secondary dressing and easy delivery of topical treatments. The high transparency lets you instantly assess healing progress without removing the contact layer and it can be left in place for up to 14 days without drying out in order to not stress the wound or newly healed tissue.
